Another new KickStarter project that you may be interested in – the BikeSpike.  A GPS-based location tracker for bikes, neatly cradled in the custom carbon fiber bottle holder.  Oh, an open API inviting developers/hackers to apply the tech as they see fit.  Because of the built-in accelerometer, it can notify your friends and family in the event you’ve crashed – we speculate it’ll measure weird bike angles (or sudden deceleration!) and the software algorithm assumes you’ve just done a face plant.  😀
