Still with my Vuelta SLR aluminum wheels. I’ve got the S-Works Aerofly handlebar back ordered, coming in November and a carbon wrapped FSA stem (80 grams lighter than your typical carbon stem) should be here in a couple of days… From there I’m going with a new carbon crank (S-Works or FSA haven’t decided yet – definitely 52/36)… After that I’ll start thinking about wheels. The bar, stem and crank will drop 1-1/4 pounds and get me down to 15 even so if I want to add a couple hundred grams to go with a carbon wheel, I can justify it. For now the Vuelta wheels are plenty good.
How do you like yours?
The Aerofly handlebar looks pretty sweet. I’m using the Zipp Vuka Sprint and you’re going to love the flat tops and probably never go back to traditional round handlebars. I came off Reynolds Attacks carbon clinchers which had really quick spin up at a fairly shallow 29mm and pretty light at 1363g. My current Reynolds Aero seems to hold the speed better….or just the placebo affect! 🙂
Oh my God, the wheels on the TNI are more than $3,000 alone! Nice.
Those Enve’s were on my wishlist, but “settled” on Reynolds Aero 46’s just recently. What have you upgraded on yours? 🙂
