Would that be considered “good debt”? BMC one of the pioneers of the aero bike trend. I just love the brake integration, and wouldn’t consider an aero bike without that design incorporated. eg. new De Rosa SK frame looks but brakes have traditional placement.
I happen to ride with a fella, my best cycling bud, with a Madone 7 Series, 2014 I think… He hates the integrated rear brake and I don’t blame him. There’s a lot of back and forth at the bottom bracket so if you’ve got the brakes set too close, the brakes rub when you’re putting the power down. Out of the saddle or even seated. I don’t know if BMC figured this out or not but after seeing my buddy’s bike in action, I’ll stick with disk or standard brakes. Oh, and the bottom bracket rear brake picks up every bit of dirt kicked up when the roads are damp too…
I looked at that BMC at a local shop, the team edition with SRAM Red… 13 pounds. I was very close to going into debt to buy that bike.
