At SRAM, mechanical shifting a la Shimano’s Di2 or Campagnolo’s EPS wasn’t the goal when they (finally!) released their new 11-speed group. They can claim instead to have the first hydraulic brake road group. They also claim the group is “trim-free”, meaning you can fully go up and down either ring without getting the dreaded chain rub.
